Objective 1: Focusing on Grand Challenges

In founding the Berlin University Alliance, Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Technische Universität Berlin and Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin have set the ambitious aim of jointly turning Berlin into an integrated research environment that is specially dedicated to addressing global grand challenges.

The Alliance is dedicating an initial stage of this initiative to the discussion of social cohesion.

As part of the second Grand Challenge Initiative, researchers will address the theme of global health. A call for proposals is planned for December 2020.
