Join the local Open Science Ambassadors of the Berlin University Alliance (BUA) for a one-day Open Science event at Charité. The varied program features interactive workshops, a panel discussion, and opportunities to connect with fellow researchers and practitioners committed to fostering transparency, collaboration, and accessibility in science. The event is open to early career researchers and others interested in the topic.

Prof. Fernanda Beigel (Researcher at CONICET & Research Center on the Circulation of Knowledge, UNCuyo-Mendoza Argentina, BUA Fellow at the Technical University Berlin)

Description: Open science is gaining increasing consensus in the research community but is also a contested issue. The digital divide, the high costs of open access journals, unequal access to open infrastructures, multilingualism and other problems are under scrutiny. In this keynote, a global cartography of these asymmetries will be discussed.
