Over 75 participants, Ambassadors and employees form the embassies located in Berlin, met with representatives of 13 Science and Higher Education organisations from Berlin. This year for the first time, not only Berlin's Universities, Universities of Applied Sciences, the German Research Foundation and Alexander von Humboldt Foundation presented themselves, but also the Leibnitz Institutes as the first "non-universitary" research organisation presented their range of activities. Discussions were lively and even lasted beyond the allocated time of 11 to 14 hrs.

Science meets Embassies aims to inform the science, education, and cultural departments of the embassies about international activities of Science and Higher Education Institutions in Berlin. The aim is to foster closer exchange and support the development of science diplomacy. At dedicated information booths, Berlin’s Science and Higher Education organizations showcase their work, offering embassy representatives responsible for science, education, or culture the opportunity to engage directly with institutional representatives.

Science meets Embassies is jointly organized by the DAAD Government Liaison Office Berlin and the Berlin University Alliance - for the fifth time in 2025.
