Whether the performance-oriented allocation of funds (“Leistungsorientierte Mittelvergabe”, LOM) is applicable in the case of acquisition of funds from the Berlin University Alliance is decided by each BUA institution itself. In principle, however, the funds are not to be regarded as third-party funding, but as university budgetary funds.
