“Shaping Research Culture” – Call for Applications. Apply Now!
News from Sep 23, 2026
What will the ideal research culture of the future look like? The Berlin University Alliance (BUA) has a clear vision: integrity, openness, and diversity should shape researchers’ everyday work. With the new funding programme “Shaping Research Culture,” we are putting this vision into practice – and are looking for your innovative projects to help bring these values to life!
The first of three calls for applications is now open. We are looking for practice-oriented, forward-looking projects that make a tangible contribution to improving research culture at our universities. Funding is available for projects addressing one or more of the following priorities:
Priority A: Responsible Research Assessment
Developing fair, transparent, and diversity-sensitive assessment processes and tools.
Priority B: Promoting and Implementing Open Science
Measures to firmly establish and embed open science practices.
Priority C: Research Culture as a Foundation
Exploring the interplay between institutional frameworks, career paths, and research practices.
