On Monday, July 7, 2025 a panel discussion took place in the Faculty of Law of Humboldt University of Berlin, featuring a presentation by Professor Dapo Akande and comments by Professor Christian Marxsen and Dr. Kalika Mehta. The roundtable was organized and introduced by Professor Florian Jeßberger and titled: "Is the International Legal Order Eroding? And If So, What Can Be Done About It?“

Dapo Akande is the Chichele Professor of Public International Law at the University of Oxford and a member of the United Nations International Law Commission. He is also currently a candidate for the position of a judge at the International Court of Justice. Christian Marxsen holds the Chair of International Law at Humboldt University of Berlin, and Kalika Mehta is a postdoctoral researcher and senior researcher at the Faculty of Law and the Centre for British Studies at Humboldt University of Berlin. Florian Jeßberger holds the Chair of Criminal Law, International Criminal Law and Modern Legal History at Humboldt University of Berlin and serves as a Vice Academic Director of the Oxford Berlin Research Partnership.
