UK-German Workshop on the Philosophy of Psychiatry in Berlin

On 7 and 8 July, researchers from the UK and Germany met at the invitation of Dr. Adrian Kind (Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin) and Professor Edward Harcourt (Keble College, University of Oxford) for a workshop to discuss joint research on the philosophy of psychiatry and to continue building a network on this topic between the two countries.

The group's research interests range from the dynamics of mental illness and its prevention to the role of AI in psychotherapy. They are intended to culminate in a joint third-party funding application and the establishment of sustainable exchange in the form of a robust network.
A further workshop to further develop the joint research questions will take place in Oxford in November 2025.
