The International Expert Exchange on Diversity and Gender Equality is an initiative by the Berlin University Alliance aimed at fostering global collaboration and knowledge sharing in the fields of diversity and gender equality. This program seeks to bridge data gaps, develop innovative research, and implement evidence-based policies to attract and retain diverse talent. Key activities include public lectures, informal meetings with BUA leadership, and workshops--all designed to enhance international cooperation and visibility, especially in concert with our DiGENet research groups and the Audre Lorde Visiting Professorship. The initiative is particularly focused on establishing international connections and exchanging insights with key figures worldwide. By inviting international experts, the BUA aims to learn from successful approaches in other universities and organizations, thereby enriching its own practices and increasing the visibility of its diversity and gender equality efforts. Nominations for visiting experts are made by the DiGENet members and our Steering Committee, providing our cross-cutting theme with a systematic and inclusive approach to advancing diversity and gender equality within the BUA and its partner institutions.
