Research Description

My research focuses on the intersection of psychiatry, AI, and ethics. I am especially interested in psychosis, language and cognition, how technology can benefit individuals with mental illness, and the discussion of ethical and legal implications in digital psychiatry.

Where in the world has your career been largely based until now?

Berlin, Germany

Why Berlin?

Berlin is the best city in Germany - very open and international, full of opportunities and interesting people.

How will your research change the world?

Hopefully, my research can contribute to protecting what is human and meaningful in psychiatry as it becomes more digital, while at the same time, leveraging technology to help people with mental illness.

What is your preferred way to communicate your research to the broader public or other specific sectors beyond academia? Where can we see, hear or read you next?

Apart from scientific publications, I like to post my research on LinkedIn and Instagram.

What did you want to be when you grow up?

I always wanted to be a psychotherapist. After working as a therapist for 10 years, I decided that I want to be a researcher instead.

If you could have a radical career change for a week, what would it be?

Member of a polar expedition.
