The TD Lab is participating in the BUA Grand Challenge on Water and Climate with the ON WATER Dialogues programme series, a participatory format for water experts from science and practice.

ON WATER Dialogues are exchange and networking events between researchers and practitioners working in the field of water. Their aim is to promote participatory research initiatives by enabling participants to discuss common issues between their different fields of activity and make their knowledge accessible. The series is aimed at water experts from research and practice who are interested in the creation of a thematically focused “community of practice” and in exploring common topics and projects.

ON WATER Dialogues bring together different people to discuss changing topics. Previous topics have included the handling and dissemination of water data, heat strategies in Berlin and the challenges of solidarity-based water distribution in the city. The On Water DIALOGUES combine various participatory elements. The focus is on enabling all participants to get to know each other and go home with new contacts, expertise, perspectives and design ideas. The topics are introduced by invited experts, who provide brief input from their respective projects. This is followed by a targeted exchange in small groups based on the “knowledge atlas”: This guides participants through various reflection loops in which they share their knowledge and possible gaps on a central issue and think about connections and possible solutions.

The Dialogues are designed, organised and moderated by TD-Lab. The project management of the events is carried out by polisphere.
