The teaching format BUA Modules is discontinued in the winter semester 2026-27 in its current form. In 2027, the Berlin University Alliance will begin its second funding phase as part of the federal and state governments’  Exccellence Strategy and will evolve its existing cross-cutting area Teaching and Learning into the new focus area Transforming Learning Cultures.

The formats Student Research Opportunities Program^x, BUA Certificate Programs und BUA Joint Degree Programs will be continued in the second funding phase. A Teaching and Learning Innovation Lab will be installed to test, develop und promote innovative approaches to teaching and learning in collaboration with faculty and students.
