In the summer semester of 2026, students of Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Technische Universität Berlin and Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin can once again attend BUA Modules offered by all partners of the Berlin University Alliance.

How to register for BUA Modules

Registration varies depending on the institution offering the course and, in some cases, from module to module. If you click through the program, you will find the relevant registration information.

Getting BUA Modules recognized in your study program

With BUA modules, you can attend courses outside your degree program. ECTS credits that you earn will not automatically be assigned to your degree program. Please check with your examination office or the relevant contact point for your degree program in advance to find out whether a specific module can be recognized and how to apply for recognition.

Profile Certificate

If you have successfully completed BUA modules in a subject area worth 15-30 credit points, you can have the BUA office issue you with a Profile Certificate, which certifies your achievements in a BUA subject area.
