Lecture Series "Open Science and Research Quality" in the Winter Semester 2022-23

On October 17, 2022, the second edition of the inclusive and participatory event will start, open to all interested parties. The lecture will take place every Monday at 14:00 (c.t.) in digital or hybrid format. The program is now online!

Following the success of the first edition of the Open Science and Research Quality Lecture Series in the summer semester 2021, the second edition of the inclusive and participatory event will start on October 17, 2022 and is open to all interested parties.

Renowned national and international speakers will discuss topics such as research evaluation (Prof. Dr. Stephen Curry, Imperial College London / England), research quality and standards in different disciplines (Prof. Dr. Beatrice Gründler, Freie Universität Berlin /Prof. Dr. Dorothy Bishop, University of Oxford / England, Prof. Dr. Jörg Strübing, University of Tübingen), the quality of research data (Prof. Dr. Gustav Nilsonne, Karolinska Institute Stockholm / Sweden) or academic freedom in the context of Open Science (Prof. Dr. Fernanda Beigel, National University of Cuyo / Argentina). The series will be opened by Prof. Dr. Günter M. Ziegler, President of Freie Universität Berlin in presence on October 17, 2022, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. CET (c.t.).

The lecture takes place within the framework of the MA program in Science Studies at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and is open to all master's and doctoral programs of all disciplines and institutions of the Berlin University Alliance. ECTS can be earned in the lecture. In addition, the event is open to interested parties from research, teaching and science-supporting institutions. Sessions of the lecture series are held in German and English.
