THE’s ranking is considered the largest and most important university ranking to date and examines almost 1,800 universities from around the world. The ranking focusses on “teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook” and considers 13 indicators such as the number of publications and citations, supervision ratio of teachers and students, acquired funding acquired and the degree of internationalisation.
