Sarah works as a  research manager at the Berlin Center for Global Engagement – a center within the Berlin University Alliance that focuses, among other topics, on academic freedom. She is an ethnologist and political scientist with a regional focus on the Arab world and its relations with Europe. Her current work centers on the global rise of authoritarian tendencies, knowledge equity, and collaboration with diverse contexts across the "Global South."
