Convincing & constructive argumentation in science
Convincing & constructive argumentation in science: In academia, we all argue in order to persuade. But what does it actually mean to persuade with arguments? How exactly does the mechanics of persuasion work? And what mistakes should be avoided? In this seminar, participants will learn how to argue effectively, constructively, and persuasively. Participants will learn to argue clearly, structurally, and persuasively; to respond confidently to critical counterarguments; and to recognize the use of deliberately pressuring questions in a timely manner and answer them constructively.
