A workshop on openess in qualitative health research organized by Dr. Nassim Mehran (Charité) with Professor Fiona Stevenson (University College London) and Professor Geraldine Leydon (Southhampton University).

ABOUT THE TEAM:
Profs Fiona Stevenson (University College London) & Geraldine Leydon (Southampton University), both trained in medical sociology and qualitative research methods, have been working in medical faculties and departments of primary care and population sciences for over 25 years. Specialists in qualitative research they have employed a variety of approaches and data collection methods to understand diverse questions about the patient experience, lay – expert communication, prescribing patterns, impact  of digital technologies on health services, behaviour change and implementation science. In more recent years they have been exploring the open science movement with specific focus on what it means to share qualitative research data. In this workshop they will share some insights from their recent Qualitative Data Preservation and Sharing Study (Q-DaPS) as well as discuss the limits and opportunities for qualitative researchers in this rapidly evolving space.

This is intended for individuals new to qualitative health research, including early-career researchers and students.
