Humboldt IP Days: Patentieren und Open Access – wie passt das zusammen? (online)
The free availability of scientific knowledge via open access is an excellent way to promote collaboration and knowledge gain. Patenting results may initially seem to contradict this. In this presentation, you will learn that this is not a contradiction and that patenting and open access are not mutually exclusive, but rather that the correct order of publication is crucial to prevent a patent project from failing. You will also learn more about the strategy of delayed publication and how open access promotes visibility in knowledge transfer.
