Jan 25, 2023 | 02:00 PM s.t. - 03:30 PM

Lecture by Dr. Helen Niemeyer (Freie Universität Berlin) and Dr. Felicitas Heßelmann (Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin) at the colloquium of the Objective 3.

Dr. Helen Niemeyer, research associate in the Department of Clinical Psychological Intervention at Freie Universität Berlin, and Dr. Felicitas Heßelmann, research associate at the Robert K. Merton Center for Science Studies, kick off the 2023 Colloquium Series with a presentation of their project "PANNE -Publication Bias- Analysis of Non-Publication and Non-Reception of Results in Disciplinary Comparison." The project investigates the discipline-specific causes of non-publication and non-reception using the comparative example of psychology and history in order to arrive at a sustainable reduction of publication bias or the publication of null results. Results of the project will in turn serve as an empirical basis for the development of an educational and participatory intervention for junior scientists.

The colloquium is aimed at scientists of all status groups and interested parties from all scientific and non-scientific fields. The session will be held in German.

Interested parties can register for the online colloquium by emailing:

The colloquium is organized within the framework of Objective 3: Advancing Research Quality and Value. It always takes place on the last Wednesday of the month from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m..
