Spot ON - Postdoc Portraits

Spot ON Biopic

Spot ON Biopic

Spot ON Biopic

is a video format in which we combine photos and short film sequences with a highly abbreviated audio interview. The individual episodes give an insight into the day-to-day research of the postdocs and also contain elements of a classic portrait: What fascinates people in their field, what drives them, how do they see their future?

Spot ON - Paths to a professorship

Spot ON Audio

Spot ON Audio

Spot ON Audio

is a podcast series featuring conversations with professors from Berlin's universities about the twists and turns of their career journeys. Recorded in our in-house podcast booth, each episode runs for about an hour and blends personal reflections with insights into the individual path to professorship. Rather than focusing on the classic career paths, the series highlights the decisive turning points and offers valuable tips for postdocs in their career planning. Some episodes are in English, others in German.

Spot ON - In a Nutshell

Spot ON Shorts

Spot ON Shorts

Spot ON Shorts

is a video format that presents talks from various Postdoc Academy (Berlin University Alliance) events in a compact format. We record the talks live and then edit them into short episodes that provide valuable insights into topics such as career talks and science pitches.

For our next podcast series, we are looking for people who once set out on the classic postdoc path but then took an unexpected turn. If you are an ex-postdoc working in a field far from traditional research – or if you know someone with an inspiring, unconventional career story – we’d love to hear from you! This upcoming series will be audio-only and focus on unconventional career journeys that began in academia but led elsewhere.
