At 6 pm, art historian Joanna Vickery-Barkow (GBZ) will deliver the opening address. The artists from Oxford and Berlin will be present and will be happy to guide visitors through the exhibition over a glass of wine; the exhibition will run until 16 October 2026, daily from 11 am to 6 pm, and on Sundays from 11 am to 5 pm.

On 14 October 2026 at 6 pm, ethnologist Gesa Grimme (ZfK HU Berlin), historian and author Edna Bonhomme, PhD, and activist and artist Patricia Vester will discuss colonial violence in academic collections. The short film “hundertausendfach” by Patricia Vester will be screened.

At the closing event on 16 October 2026 at 6 pm, texts written by visitors will be read aloud and there will be another small reception. 

Throughout the exhibition, visitors are welcome to create their own art at any time, engage with the works – some of which are interactive – and provide feedback in a variety of ways. 

People of all ages are welcome; access is via a few steps, and all events will be held in English.
