An international project on the mental health of mothers

An international project on the mental health of mothers

The project aims to establish an international knowledge exchange platform focused on maternal mental health. It involves the development and documentation of specific therapeutic approaches, the creation of teaching materials, and the support of experts who will define and ensure quality standards in research. The project follows a participatory approach involving patients and the public. It is embedded within existing South-South-North collaborations of the Berlin University Alliance (BUA) with researchers, institutions, and governments in Jordan and Vietnam, as well as with partners at the University of Oxford and McMaster University in Canada.

The project is led by Professor Malek Bajbouj (Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin), Professor Daniel Strech (Berlin Institute of Health), Professor Michael Zürn (Freie Universität Berlin), and Professor Isabel Dziobek (Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin).
