World Health Summit 2021

Oct 24, 2021 - Oct 26, 2021

International forum for global health

The annual World Health Summit in Berlin is one of the world’s leading strategic forums for global health and brings together leaders from politics, science and medicine, the private sector, and civil society to set the agenda for a healthier future. The World Health Summit was founded in 2009 on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin and is traditionally held under the patronage of the German Chancellor, the President of the Republic of France, the President of the European Commission, and the Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO). President of the World Health Summit is Axel R. Pries, Dean of Charité and Member of the Executive Board of the Berlin University Alliance. International President of 2021 is Charles Ibingira from the Makerere University College of Health Sciences in Uganda.

Only by strengthening partnerships and international collaboration can health be improved on a global level. Therefore, the World Health Summit actively facilitates and promotes constructive exchange among stakeholders from all fields in an environment of academic freedom. Berlin University Alliance scientists who are interested in global health issues and would like to network further are cordially invited to attend the conference.

The World Health Summit 2021 will take place October 24-26 in Berlin and digitally: The entire program is available online. More than 300 speakers and 6,000 participants from around 100 nations are expected in Berlin and online.
