News from Aug 16, 2017
Scientists from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Freie Universität Berlin, Technische Universität Berlin, the University of Potsdam, and European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder) are working in a collaborative project to developing solutions for research data management at universities. The German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) is funding the two-year FDMentor project (research data management mentor) with a total of ca. 409,000 euros. The goal is to develop strategies, recommendations for action, roadmaps, guides, and freely accessible materials, called open educational resources (OER). The overall project management is at Humboldt-Universität's computer and media service. Over the longer term the results of the project are aimed at all German universities that are still at the beginning of the process toward professional research data management.
