The event “A Successful Start to Your Doctorate” is a retreat for doctoral researchers from all disciplines who are at the beginning of their PhD.

The event is organized by the Graduate Studies Support Program (GSSP) of the Berlin University Alliance (BUA) and, over the course of two and a half days, offers:

• general information on starting a doctorate,
• trainer-led workshops on planning and organizing the PhD process,
• individual advisory and coaching sessions, and
• numerous team-building activities for socializing and networking with other doctoral researchers across disciplines and institutions.

The event takes place in person. Participation is open to all doctoral researchers of the Berlin University Alliance, the network comprising Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Technische Universität Berlin, and Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin.

Please note: The event is offered once in German and once in English on different dates. Please register for only one of the two events.
