Whether university libraries or research laboratories: Outstanding facilities are the basis of excellent science. The Berlin universities and Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin already pool their efforts here in order to offer scholars and scientists ideal conditions for research and studying.

This is made possible, for example, by jointly using large equipment or library holdings. In addition, cooperating with numerous research institutions outside of universities contributes to an efficient use of space and modern technology. The fact that shared resources offer increased value is also apparent in the idea of open access to research data as a basis for further scientific work, which the universities pursue together.

The three Berlin universities also work together with Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin in the transfer of knowledge: Joint funding programs support researchers in bringing products and ideas onto the market.
