Excellent research requires access to excellent infrastructure — regardless of where it is located.
The Berlin University Alliance is building a shared network for research services and infrastructures, pooling the resources of its partner institutions and making them visible and accessible across the alliance.
This network offers central services that enable researchers to use research infrastructures, equipment, and expertise jointly:

• OpenIRIS – a joint platform for booking and using research equipment and services across the alliance
• Digital Network University Collections – integrated access to more than 100 teaching and research collections of the alliance partners
• Alliance Center Electron Microscopy (ACEM) – a joint centre with state-of-the-art Electron microscopy infrastructure
• Berlin Universities Publishing (BerlinUP) – an open-access publisher offering independent publishing advice and services for scholarly publishing

Together, we are building a connected infrastructure landscape that makes resources more accessible, enables their more efficient use, and strengthens Berlin’s research landscape sustainably.
