How does the invoice for the teaching assignment look like?

Invoice Template

For the invoicing of your teaching assignment, please use the Invoice for Teaching Assignment form provided by Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. In order not to make any mistakes, please have a look at the exemplary filled out invoice form.

Note on the statement of hours (p. 3 of the invoice form)

  • On p. 3 of the Invoice Form, you must list the sessions of your course and the hours you have taught.
  • The form requires that you enter your hours in the form of course hours (LVS). 1 LVS is 45 minutes.
  • So, for example, if you had a session on 02/05/2023 from 2:15pm to 3:45pm, you taught 2 LVS that day.
  • IMPORTANT: If you add up the LVS hours, you must end up with a total of 35 LVS.
  • This means: If, for example, you have not taught exactly 35 LVS due to shortened semester times, please also enter consultation hours or similar. As already mentioned, it is important that the total number of teaching hours is 35 LVS

Note on the statement of hours (p. 3 of the invoice form) - specific to co-teaching

  • If you have offered your X-Student Research Group in co-teaching, your teaching assignment does not comprise 35 LVS, but 17.5 LVS. Accordingly, only 17.5 LVS will be charged in the invoice.
  • In the first step, please enter all dates and the full 35 LVS in the timetable.
  • In a second step, please add the note at the bottom of the form: "As the course was offered in co-teaching, 17.5 LVS will be charged instead of 35 LVS.".
