The 17th DiGENet Dialogue of the Berlin University Alliance will take place on May 19, 2026, at Technische Universität Berlin and, as part of the inaugural lecture of the 2026 Audre Lorde Visiting Professorship, will focus on the topic of “student belonging.” At the center of the event is the question of how universities can create conditions in which students feel recognized, included, and a genuine sense of belonging. Speakers will include Prof. Eva Cheng (University of Technology Sydney), this year’s Audre Lorde Visiting Professor, followed by a moderated conversation with Prof. Dr. Juliane Siegeris (HTW Berlin). The event will begin with a reception at 4:30 p.m., will be held in English, and will conclude with an opportunity for networking over snacks and refreshments.
