The Research Data Week @ BUA offers researchers from the Berlin University Alliance (BUA) the opportunity to exchange ideas on the handling of research data, learn from one another, and forge lasting connections across the four BUA institutions. The focus is on dialogue about best practices, sharing experiences, and jointly advancing an open, data-conscious research culture within the BUA.

The highlight of the week is the main “Research Data Day @ BUA” event on October 21, 2026. Here, doctoral candidates, researchers, and other BUA members can present their data-driven projects during a poster session (Call for Posters) and discuss them in short-format sessions. In parallel, in-depth thematic workshops will take place throughout the action week from October 19 to 23, 2026, offering practical insights into methods, tools, and strategies for research data management. Participation in the workshops is free of charge; registration is required separately for each event.
